Whole Forest Raised Berkshire Pig

Our Heritage breed Berkshire pigs are raised using Regenerative Practices in Hardwood Forest and supplemented with Soy Free Non-GMO feed. Price includes Basic Processing at USDA facility, cut and wrap. Sausage, Curing, and Smoking will be additional cost. We aim for 200-225lb carcass weight. Our animals are raised ethically without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. A $250 deposit is required to secure a processing date.

About 8:28 Farms


We're first generation farmers learning, and applying regenerative practices for raising heritage pigs in in the wooded acreage of our property, our laying hens on pasture, growing seasonal produce, and caring for our bees in our apiary. We raise Pure Mangalitsa, and Pure Berkshire pigs, and offer cuts, or the option of halves and whole pigs for purchase. Our pigs are rotated through hardwood forests, and supplemented with Soy Free Non GMO feed. We offer Chicken Eggs year round, and Goose Eggs seasonally. Our hens are rotated out on our pasture, free range daily, and are supplemented with Soy Free Non GMO feed as well. We sell Raw Local Honey from our hives, and are Certified NC Beekeepers. We also offer Freeze Dried Fruit, that is either grown by us, or locally by other orchards and farms. You can find us, or our products at The Conover Farmer's Market, The High Country Food Hub, Spark Life Collective, and at our farm.
