GrassRoots Meat & Feed Provision Co. is owned and operated by Jessica & Jeremiah Jones of Beulaville, NC (Duplin County). After graduating from NCSU in 2001 with 5 associate degrees in agriculture, Jeremiah began farming row crops and by 2005, the farm began raising pastured, free-range hogs for buyers such as Whole Foods. Fast forward to 2013, we began processing our own farm-grown non-GMO soybeans for use with our hogs, cattle and chickens. In 2022 we began producing custom livestock feeds for sale to the public. Today, we operate a non-GMO feed mill providing over 15 varieties of custom livestock feed and feedstuffs with ingredients grown and processed right here on our farm. Although we mainly sell live hogs to wholesalers, butchers and restaurants, we also sell cuts of pork, beef and eggs locally. Our hogs and chickens are Animal Welfare Approved, and we operate a GAP Step 4 rated farm. Our farm is a member of the North Carolina Natural Hog Growers Association, where Jeremiah has been acting president since its inception in 2007.
