Whole Cow

$4.75 per pound

If you are interested in buying in bulk, we offer the options of buying a whole, half, or fourth of a cow. This is a non-refundable deposit and would be counted towards your final order once available. Typical cuts received include Ribeye, NY Strip, Filet Mignon, Sirloin, London Broil, Chuck Roast, Beef Tips, Beef Stew, Ground Beef. When purchasing a whole cow, cuts can be customized to meet your needs. We will contact you to finalize your order and inform you of when your beef is scheduled for processing. Final price is based on the hanging weight of the cow. For a whole cow our price is $4.75/lb. Hanging weight is the weight of the meat after it has been dressed, but before it has been aged, cut, and packaged. For example, a whole cow portion with a hanging weight of approximately 550 pounds would be $2,612.50 plus sales tax (550 lbs. x 4.75/lb.=$2,612.50). The actual amount of beef that ends up in your freezer will be different that the hanging weight. This is due to moisture loss, deboning, etc. during processing. These numbers and individual cuts received will vary based on individual animals.

About R and B Farms

R and B Farms is a small farm in Taylorsville, NC, and is dedicated to raising quality grass-fed beef. We use regenerative grazing practices with our cows, moving them to fresh grass daily. When our forage supply is running low, such as in winter, we feed locally sourced grass hay. We never use pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals on our fields. We also do not use growth implants or chemicals on our cows. Our cows live their entire lives on pasture. We believe in letting cows be cows! We strive to raise beef that is good for the environment and good for people.
